Michael Reaber

August 8, 1950 — August 22, 2021

Michael E. Reaber, 71, of Aledo, IL passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.  Visitation is 3-6:00 p.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Private burial will be at a later date and there are no services. A memorial fund will be established and online condolences can be made at www.fippingerfuneralhome.com.

He was born August 8, 1950 in Hillsboro, IL to Edward and Clara Belle Eddington Reaber.  Mike graduated from Aledo High School and attended Blackhawk College.  Mike served in the National Guard. He married Connie Gillespie November 14, 1971 in Aledo.

Mike was a UPS driver for thirty years.

Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, football, mechanics, riding motorcycles and especially being with his family.   He was a man of many talents.

Survivors include his wife, Connie; daughters, Michelle (Wes Lootens) Reaber of Ava, Missouri, Jennifer (Andrew) Bennett, Catherine Rudsell, Patricia (Steve Word) Reaber, all of Seaton, IL, Alicia Reaber of Aledo, IL, Beth (Brian) Woodward of Seaton, IL; sixteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two great grandchildren lovingly expected; two step grandchildren; four sisters, Pamela (Robert) Hoffman of Aledo, Karen (Frank) Sibley of Troy, IL; Carol Wright of Hillsboro, IL, Sara Feighner of Galesburg, IL; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son-in-law, Eric Rudsell and one great nephew, Jared Anderson.
