Karen A. Clough, 64, of Alpha, formerly of Aledo, Illinois passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at home. Cremation rites have been accorded and a celebration of life will be at a later date. Karen was born September 13, 1956 in Oquawka, IL to John and Mary (Sandrock) Lair. She married Robert Schmidt in 1978 and later married Jim Clough October 10, 2008 in Galena, IL
She was employed as bartender and waitress for many years. Karen operated her own lawncare business.
She enjoyed fine painting, quilting, camping and especially being outdoors.
Karen is survived by her husband, Jim; three daughters, Paula (Scott) Maag of Brussels, Illinois; Libbey Clough of Henderson, Illinois; Angela Scardino of Aledo; two sons, Dean (Katie) Sproston of Aledo; Jeffrey (Christina Eggen) Schmidt of Joy; 15 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild, lovingly expected; two brothers, Greg (Laura) Lair of New Boston, Illinois, Fred (Julie) Lair of Clinton, Iowa; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
