Virginia M. Greer, age 94, of Aledo, Il. Formerly of Seaton, Il. Died Friday March 7, 2014 at Genesis Senior Living in Aledo. Services are 11:00 Am Tuesday March 11, 2014 at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial is in the Candor Cemetery, rural Seaton. She was born December 6, 1919 in Elizabeth, IN. to Byron and Beulah Hollis Blackman. She attended the Duck Creek, Belmont and Douglas schools. On May 11, 1940 she married Lawrence "Bub" Greer in Davenport, Iowa. He died in 2005
Virginia was a homemaker and assisted her husband in farming. She was a former member of the Scaly Point Neighborhood club and she enjoyed flowers and gardening
Survivors include a daughter Lois (Dean) McCaw of Seaton, 2 sons Charles (Pam) Greer of Seaton, Larry (Ruthe) Greer of Seaton, 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren, 3 sisters, Annabelle Kell, Jennie Maynard, Louise Engwall all of Aledo and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, 1 son James, 3 brothers and a sister preceded her in death
