Todd Lee Nimrick, 56, of Alpha, Illinois, died on June 13, 2021 at OSF St Francis Medical Center, in Peoria, Illinois. Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded with Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Alpha, Illinois.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at the New Windsor Cemetery with a luncheon directly following at the New Windsor Presbyterian Church. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Tri-County Ambulance or the New Windsor Cemetery Maintenance and Improvement Fund. Todd was born February 14, 1965 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital, the son of Luther “Bub” and Daleen (Swanson) Nimrick. After graduating from Winola High School in 1983, Todd obtained his plumbing license in Atlanta, Georgia. For the last twelve years he has owned and operated Nimrick Plumbing. Todd loved his plumbing career and took great pride in his work. Todd enjoyed everything about the great outdoors, especially camping and kayaking. He also enjoyed frisbee golf and baseball.
He is survived by a daughter, Alyssa (Dustin Markus) Nimrick of Altona; a grandson Zackary, whom he adored; parents, Luther “Bub” and Daleen Nimrick of Woodhull; a brother, Troy (Mandi) Nimrick of Woodhull; a niece, Paige Nimrick; nephews; Dylan and Drake Nimrick; cats, Magic and Boots; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Ruby Swanson, Hubert and Doris Nimrick; aunts, Sandy Anderson and Mary Crafts; and an uncle, Marvin Nimrick.
