Shirley A. Reynolds, 92 of Galesburg, IL, formerly of Alpha, IL died Sunday, October 8, 2017 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, IL. Cremation has been accorded. Graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Alpha Cemetery. There is no visitation. Memorials may be left to the Oxford Fire Department or the Andover American Legion Auxiliary Post #465. She was born August 12, 1925 in Galesburg, IL to Arthur “Fred” and Elsie Knox Anderson. Shirley attended the local schools. She was united in marriage to William Earl Reynolds April 12, 1951 in Cuba, IL. He died March 1, 1980.
She was a homemaker.
Shirley was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Andover, IL.
Shirley enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Marsha (Mike) Steines of Galesburg, IL; Sue (Dennis) Shannon of Alpha, IL; Nancy (Gary Higbee) Reynolds of Roseville, IL; 6 grandchildren: Jamie Stickle, Dawn (Chad) Sanders, Chris (Alissa) Steines; Michele (Tim) Walgren; Heather (Brad) Hopping; Shaun (Naice) Steines; 12 great grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.
Her parents, husband, three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
