Sharon K. Andress, age 75, of Joy, IL died Sunday September 2, 2018, at the Genesis Senior Living in Aledo, IL. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018, at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial is in the Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Fippingers where memorials may be left to the Joy Fire and Rescue or the Royal Ball Run for Autism. She was born November 23, 1942 in Viola, IL. To Ralph and Agnes Ayers Hudson. Sharon graduated from the Aledo High School in 1960 and attended Cele Whan School of Beauty. She married Parker L. Andress May 27, 1961 in Aledo.
Sharon was a homemaker and worked as a beautician out of her home for 20 years. After receiving her EMT certification she was employed with the local ambulance service before becoming employed in the Medical Records Department at the Mercer County Hospital where she retired.
She was a member of the Joy United Methodist Church. Sharon loved animals and enjoyed bowling, fishing, flower gardening and bird watching. She especially enjoyed being with her family and keeping up with them on Facebook.
Survivors include her husband, Parker, 3 daughters, Deanne Andress of Aledo, Il, Marcie (Dennis) Biddle and Jennifer (Eric) Russell both of Joy, Il, 1 son, Troy (Teresa) Andress of Janesville, WI, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a sister, Patty Meminger of New Boston, Il, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved grandson, Evan.
