Robert W. Lincoln

          Robert W. Lincoln, 82, of Aledo, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 at Aledo Rehabilitation and Health Care.

          Private family service will be held at Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo.  Memorials may be made to the Joy Volunteer Fire Department in Robert’s memory.

          Robert was born on November 11, 1941, in Eliza, IL, the son of Howard and Martha (Hayden) Lincoln.  He married Phyllis Olson on June 18, 1960 in Joy, IL.  Robert worked as a farmer, and later as a salesman selling farm equipment for 15 years.  Robert enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and golfing.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. 

          Robert is survived by his wife, Phyllis Lincoln; daughter, Terrie VanOpdorp; son, Brad (Tammy) Lincoln; grandchildren, Bill (Christina) Monson, Ryan (Annie) Monson, Renee (Cory) Funk, Chase Sharp, Jennifer (Brandon) Askew, Bobby Lincoln, and Ashley Haney; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Marvin (Betty) Lincoln; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammy Lincoln; and brothers, Raymond, Richard, and Ronnie Lincoln.
