Rita Ruggles

Rita K. Ruggles, 76 of Millersburg, Illinois, formerly of Davenport, Iowa and Viola, IL died Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Cremation has been accorded. Services are 11:30 a.m. Thursday June 6, 2019 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial is in the Aledo Cemetery. Rita was born March 18, 1943 in Davenport, Iowa to William and Evelyn Wakeland Morris. She graduated from Aledo High School. Rita married Robert V. Ruggles May 12, 1962 in Aledo. He died September 17, 2017.

Rita was employed as a cook at Assumption High School and Harrison Elementary School in Davenport, retiring in 1990.

Rita enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter: Angela (Daniel) Simpson of Keithsburg, IL; one son: Brian (Janene Krambeck) Ruggles of Austin, TX; 4 grandchildren: Gage, Mackenzie, Dominic and Logan; sisters-in-law: Barbara Kraklow; Carroll Powell; Bonnie Doss; Wanda White; Martha Bedford; Betty Criswell and Mary Ruggles; brothers-in-law: Billy and Neal Ruggles; several nieces and nephews.

Her parents; husband; one son: Mark and one brother: Robert preceded her in death.
