Neal Lambert Robb, 78, of New Windsor, IL, died Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Mary's in Galesburg. Services are 11 a.m., Friday, March 15, 2013 at the New Windsor Presbyterian Church. Burial is in the New Windsor Cemetery where military services will be conducted. Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Thursday at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Alpha where memorials may be left to the New Windsor Presbyterian Church or the New Windsor Public Library. He was born July 23, 1934, Monday morning wash day, in rural New Windsor, IL to Lester and Lois Isaacson Robb. He graduated with the last graduating class of New Windsor High School in 1952. After graduating, he drove a truck for P.H. Streeter in New Windsor then enlisted in the United States Army serving as an MP, attaining the rank of corporal. He married Ola Moore December 21, 1958 in Sweetwater, TX.

Neal was a lineman for Texas Electric Company, returning to New Windsor in 1963 where he farmed the Centennial family farm for 50 years. He was awarded Conservation Farmer of the Year for Mercer County, was a member of the Northwest Illinois Feeder Cattle Association and served on the Rivoli Grain Elevator Board of Directors.

He was a member and trustee of the New Windsor Presbyterian Church, director and current president of the New Windsor Telephone Company. Neal served on the Mercer County 911 Board, Winola School Board, Rivoli Township/New Windsor Public Library Board, was an active and honorary director for the New Windsor Fair Rodeo and Horse Show Association and was a charter member of the Edwards River Antique Engine Association.

Neal enjoyed collecting coins, leather crafting, flying and restoring John Deere tractors.

Survivors include his wife: Ola; one daughter: Stacy (John) Thorson of Mazeppa, Minnesota; one son: Russell (Dee) Robb of New Windsor, IL; 4 grandchildren: Caitlin and Nolan Robb, both of New Windsor, IL; Anja and Addy Thorson, both of Mazeppa, Minnesota; one sister Norma Jean (Richard) Huntoon of Tomahawk, WI; 9 nieces and nephews.

His parents preceded him in death.
