Nancy J. Simmons, age 59, of Alpha, Illinois died Saturday October 12, 2013 in her home. Services are 7:00 PM Thursday at the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha. Burial is 2:00 PM Friday at the Calvary Lutheran Cemetery in New Windsor, IL. Visitation is from 4-7 PM Thursday prior to services at the funeral home where memorials may be left to the Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research to be used for the study of Copper Deficiency Myloneuropathy or the Alpha Food Pantry. She was born January 5, 1954 in Moline, IL to Ray and Evelyn Hurstrom Hall. She attended the AlWood schools and married James Norburg February 28, 1970 in Aledo. She later married Ron Simmons in September of 1985 in Galesburg.

Nancy was a waitress for many years working at the Woodhull Plaza, the Factory in Orion, the Alpha Lanes and the Blue Rose in Rio. She was also employed at Dick Blick in Galesburg. She loved flowers ,trimming evergreens and dancing.

Survivors include 5 daughters Trisha (Scott) Plunkett of St. Louis, MO, Tiffany Norburg of Orion, IL, Erika Wignall of New Windsor, IL, Emily Wignall of Alpha, IL Morgan (Travis) Lawson of Lynn Center, IL 12 Grandchildren, Courtney, Dakota, Scottie, Caleb, Riley, Kaden, Brayden, Brysen, Brecken, Mitch, Kaiti, and Grace. 1 great granddaughter, Addison, a sister Donna Moody of Aledo and a brother Dean (Marlene) Hall of New Windsor,

Her parents preceded her in death.
