Nan F. Shaw, age 60, of Rock Island, IL. died Friday April 24, 2015 at Unity Point in Rock Island, IL. Services are 11:00 AM Wednesday April 29, 2015 at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial is in the Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-7 PM Tuesday at Fippingers where memorials may be left to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center or the American Cancer Society. She was born April 12, 1955 in McKeesport, PA to James and Naomi Ward Moody. She graduated from McKeesport High School in 1973. She attended the South Campus of Allegheny County Community College graduating in 1979 with an associate's degree in Applied Sciences.
She married James A. Shaw February 14, 2004 in Joy, Illinois. He died May 29, 2013.
Nan was a registered nurse at the Braddock, PA hospital and also did home healthcare. After moving to the Quad Cities, Nan worked at Bridgeway in Galesburg and John Deere Health Insurance in Moline. She was currently employed at UnitedHealth Care Optum in Moline. She enjoyed traveling and being with her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Amy Richardson of Pittsburg, PA, Katie (Chris) Yenor of Geneseo, IL, Jennie Moody of Rock Island, IL, 1 step-son Joseph (Shaunnessy) Shaw of Rock Island, Il, 4 grandsons, a brother Mark Moody of McKeesport, PA and nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, and 2 brothers preceded her in death.
