Lucille J. Anderson, 89, of New Windsor, IL, died Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Seminary Manor in Galesburg. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Calvary Lutheran Church in New Windsor. Burial is in the Calvary Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Memorials may be left to Calvary Lutheran Church or Seminary Manor Residents' Activity Fund. Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Alpha is serving the family. Online condolences can be made at

She was born May 16, 1924 in Boden, Illinois to Andrew and Anna Mital. She graduated from Sherrard High School in 1942. Lucille married Robert F. Anderson February 4, 1950 in Coal Valley. He died October 28, 1991.

Lucille was a homemaker. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by John Deere Harvester Works in Moline.

Lucille was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church and WELCA.

She enjoyed sewing, gardening and reading and especially being with her family.

She is survived by three daughters: Judy Woolsey of New Windsor; Cathy (Joseph) Linker of Lake St. Louis, MO; Mary Anderson of Galesburg; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; one sister: Mary (Bob) Buckley of Mountain Home, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister: Ann; and six brothers: John, Andrew, Raymond, Ed, Thomas and George Mital.
