Lowell W. Titterington, age 90, of Taylor Ridge, IL, passed away Sunday August 29, 2021 at the Aledo Health and Rehab Center. Masonic and Funeral services will begin at 7:00 PM Friday September 3, 2021 at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Private burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 3-7 PM Friday at Fippingers where memorials may be left to the Edgington Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimer’s Association. Lowell was born August 5, 1931 in rural Taylor Ridge to Clifford and Florence Bruchmann Titterington. He graduated from the former Reynolds High School and married Phyllis Ann Boney March 2, 1952 in the Buffalo Prairie Presbyterian Church. Lowell was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran serving as a Field Communication crewman from 1954 to 1956.
He farmed in the Taylor Ridge area all of his life. Lowell was also employed at John Deere Harvester in East Moline, retiring in 1987. His memberships include the Edgington Presbyterian Church and the Andalusia Masonic Lodge No. 516.
His passion was Stained Glass Art, having created many beautiful pieces throughout the years. Lowell enjoyed flying airplanes, traveling as a member of the Friendship Force Club, fishing with his grandchildren and being with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis, 4 daughters, Karen (Les) Price of Scottsdale, AZ, Kathy (Kevin) Patterson of Pala Alto, CA, Lisa (Butch) Carver of Taylor Ridge, IL, Lori (Paul) Rash of Grapevine, TX, 7 grandchildren: Amber, Kaitlyn, Kelly, Ralph, Joshua, Julia and Jenna, 3 great grandchildren, Clayton, Easton and Ayla, nieces and nephews.
His parents and 1 grandson, Clayton preceded him in death.
