Lee Wedekind

Lee A. Wedekind, age 42, of New Boston, IL, passed away suddenly Thursday May 13, 2021 in Buda, Illinois.   Services are 1:00 PM Saturday May 22, 2021 at the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo.  Burial is in the Eliza Creek Cemetery.  Visitation is from 3-7 PM Friday at Fippinger’s where a memorial fund will be established.  Online condolences can be made at fippingerfuneralhome.com.

Lee was born October 5, 1978 in Muscatine, Iowa to Lowell and Elizabeth Ryan Wedekind.  He graduated from Westmer High School.  On August 6, 2011, he was united in marriage to Sabrina L. Bagley in Savanna, IL.

Lee was a truck driver since graduating from high school. He was an owner/operator leasing to Baja Enterprises LLC in Cedar Falls, Iowa.  He especially enjoyed being outdoors whether it be grilling on the back porch or farming the north forty.  His favorite past time was being with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sabrina, 3 daughters, Corinne (Richard Jr.) Conner of Wataga, IL,  Miranda Stevens of Kirkwood, IL, Breanna Stevens of Cambridge, IL, 2 sons, Robert Stevens II of New Boston, IL,  Joshua Wedekind of Milan, IL,  2 granddaughters, Natalia and Sophia; 3 grandsons, Levi, Kole and Carson and two lovingly expected, his father and step-mother, Lowell and Karen Wedekind of Illinois City, IL; mother and step-father, Elizabeth and Casey Cox of Eliza, IL; 1 brother, Lance (Bridgett) Wedekind of Eliza, IL and a half-brother, Corey (Brook) Cox of Eliza.  Other family members include his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
