Jeanette A. Hanson, 86 of Alpha, IL died Thursday, December 1, 2016 at OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center in Galesburg. Services are 11:00 AM Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Woodhull. Burial is in the Oneida Cemetery. Visitation is 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. She was born July 6, 1930 in rural Oneida, IL to Carl and Laura Rosenberg Nelson. She graduated from Oneida High School and married Lavern W. Hanson August 20, 1960 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Woodhull.
Jeanette was a homemaker. She assisted her husband in the operation of the family farm.
She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the Henry County Farm Bureau. Jeanette enjoyed helping people and devoted her life to caring for her son.
Survivors include her husband, Lavern and son, Thomas Hanson, both at Alpha; cousins, Judy Leonard of Galesburg; Keith (Dorothy) Everett of Cambridge; very special friends, Shirley Guild of Alpha and Carl Dillon of Oneida.
Her parents and one son, Richard preceded her in death.
