July 6, 1943 — May 10, 2016

Janice L. Hall, 72, of Elgin, Illinois formerly of Aledo, passed away May, 10th 2016 at Autumn Leaves Memory Care in St. Charles, Illinois surrounded by the love of her husband and family. Services are 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial is in the Aledo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at Fippinger's . Janice was born July 6, 1943 in Moline, IL. The only child of Everett and Alta (Schlueter) Ericson. She graduated from Aledo High School and the American Institute of Commerce in Davenport, IA. She was employed at the Country Companies Insurance Company and the Needles Eye Fabric Store in Aledo, before she started her own business, Janice's Drapery and Decorating, which she operated for over 30 years.
Janice was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, Chapter H P.E.O. Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Aledo Chamber of Commerce and Aledo Main Street. She enjoyed helping out at Hall's Shoe Store throughout the years. Janice loved entertaining and any occasion surrounded by family and friends. Her fondest memories were of the time spent traveling with her husband and family. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 53 years, Jerry; her daughters, Michelle (Bryon) McDuffee of South Elgin, IL; Mia (Seth) Eddy of Geneva, IL; granddaughters, Peyton and Blaire McDuffee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister-in-law, Marcell (Hall) Suhs.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the Autumn Leaves Memory Care in St. Charles, IL. and the Transitions Hospice for their loving care and concern for our wife and mother.
