Janet L. Brasmer, 81 of Silvis, formerly of Sherrard, IL died Friday, September 1, 2017 at Illini Restorative Care in Silvis, IL. Private visitation and services will be at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Private burial is in the German Cemetery, rural Sherrard. She was born August 17, 1936 in Oshkosh, WI to Lloyd and Rose Nagelmiller Roycraft. She attended the local schools and married Harold Brasmer June 30, 1956 in Rock Island. He died May 16, 1992.
She was a homemaker who loved canning vegetables, baking and making popcorn balls at Halloween for all the neighborhood kids. Janet also enjoyed playing Rummy and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
Survivors include two daughters; Linda (Steven) Cundy of Geneseo; Joyce (Jeffrey) Carothers of Sherrard; a son; Russell (Kim) Brasmer of Aurora, IL, 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild lovingly expected; 3 sisters; Belva (Harry) Cundy of Sevierville, TN; Lois (Frank) Nagy of Oshkosh, WI, Kathy (Peter, special friend) Miller of Oklahoma City, OK; a brother; Dennis Roycraft of Kaukauna, WI; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Debra Hewett, one grandson, Dylan Hofmann and one sister, Diane Ebert.
