Jamie Fussell

Jamie Emmons Fussell, age 35, of New Windsor, IL died Monday, April 16, 2012. Visitation is from 1-4 PM Saturday at the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha followed by a brief service at 4:00 PM. Cremation rites will be accorded. She was born October 23, 1976 in Pontiac, IL, a daughter of Gary and Wendy Saben Emmons. She graduated from AlWood High School and was married to Thomas Fussell.

Jamie was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, gardening and sports. She loved animals, having cared for sick or injured animals and took in any that needed a home. She loved her children dearly.

Survivors include two sons: Curtis and Thomas Fussell of Sherrard, IL; her parents; her maternal grandmother: Madelyn Nichols of Geneseo, IL; two sisters: Jennifer Emmons of Illinois and SSGT Michele (Michael) Higgins of South Carolina; several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces.

Her paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather preceded her in death.
