Ino A. Gillett, 98, of Illinois City, Illinois died Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Genesis Senior Living in Aledo. Graveside services are 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Drury/Reynolds Cemetery Rock Island County, Illinois. There is no visitation. Memorials may be left to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She was born January 8, 1916 in Drury Twsp, Rock Island County, IL to Leroy and Caroline Freyermuth Gillett. She attended the local school and never married.
Ino assisted her family in the operation of their family farm where she raised cattle, enjoyed driving the tractors and helping in any way she could. Her hobbies include sewing, embroidery, quilting, crafts, watching TV and especially visiting with friends and family.
Survivors include several nephews and nieces and their families, including Gary (Sandra) Blanchard of Buffalo Prairie, IL, Jerry (Karen) Gillett of Reynolds, IL, Jim (Bev) Gillett of Elburn, IL, and Robert (Karen) Blanchard of Round Lake, IL.
Her parents, one brother, Kenneth, and 3 sisters, Emoline, Gertrude and Arelene preceded her in death.
