Ida B. Duncan, 100, of Aledo, Illinois, died Friday, January 9, 2015 at Genesis Senior Living Center in Aledo. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial is in the Norwood Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Center Presbyterian Church or the Mercer County Historical Society. She was born November 19, 1914 in Millbrook, IL to Frank and Edna Darnell Budd. She graduated from Yorkville High School, the University of Illinois and she completed a 1 year internship at Florida State College for Women. She married Eugene F. Duncan November 6, 1938 in Yorkville, IL. He died in 1996.

Ida was a homemaker and was briefly employed as a Supervisor at the Commerce Building Cafeteria in Washington D.C. in 1938.

She was an Elder of the Seaton Center Presbyterian Church, former President of the Mercer County Home Bureau, a member of the Mercer County Home Economist in Home Making and a lifetime member of the Mercer County Historical Society. She was involved in numerous local social groups.

She is survived by 2 sons; David B. (Marcia) Duncan, Wayne E. (Polley) Duncan all of Alexis, 4 grandchildren; William (Amy) Duncan of Alexis, Denise (Ganesh) Ganpat of Ankeny, IA, Jeffrey Duncan of Aledo, Abigail (Matt) Todd of Ballwin, Missouri, 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant daughter, Margaret; a grandson, Peter and a sister, Frances.
