Glenna Ketner

Glenna D. Ketner, age 87, of Aledo, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Aledo Health and Rehab Center. Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Private burial will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is noon until the time of service at Fippinger's where memorials may be left to Messiah Lutheran Church or the Shriner's Hospital for Children. She was born September 17, 1925 in La Harpe, Illinois to O.V. and Beulah Long Sights. She graduated from La Harpe High School and married Paul F. Ketner August 24, 1945 in Macomb, IL. He died in 1998.

Glenna was employed as an executive secretary for Consolidated Foods in Milan and later with the Continental Telephone Company, retiring in 1993.

She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Aledo.

Survivors include two sons: Jay (Penny) Ketner of San Jose, CA; and Michael Ketner of Boca Raton, FL; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers: J.C. and Buster.
