Ella Jean Finch, 93 of Aledo, formerly of Keithsburg, died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Genesis Medical Center in Aledo. Services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial is in the Peniel Cemetery in rural Joy. She was born February 11, 1924 in Duncan Township, IL to Harry and Meril Fisher Hadley. She attended the Joy and Aledo Schools and married Lewis D. Finch February 11, 1941 in Muscatine, IA. He died August 12, 2010.
Ella Jean was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the operation of the family farm and their trucking and corn shelling business.
She was a member of the RLDS Church and its women’s group.
She enjoyed reading and being with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by 3 daughters, Carolyn (Ron) Ranney; Melody (Dan) Bawden all of Aledo; Rita (Eric) Woolery of Brookfield, MO; 6 grandchildren, Brian (Tammy) Ranney of Syracuse, MO; Brent (Nichole) Ranney of East Moline, IL; Tammy (Brian) Nelson of Aledo; Tina (Josh) Larson of Keithsburg, IL; Dr. Kendal (Amy) Geno of Brookfield, MO; Caleb Geno of Independence, MO; 25 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
