Ella C. Green, 96, of Aledo, formerly of New Boston, IL died Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Genesis Medical Center in Aledo. Services are 11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2013 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial is in the Aledo Cemetery.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Fippinger's where memorials may be left to the Eliza Creek Cemetery. On-line condolences can be made at www.fippingerfuneralhome.com.
She was born March 1, 1917 in Monmouth, IL to William and Susie Turley Jebb. She attended the Cedar Creek School and graduated from Union School. She married Otis Leroy Green October 8, 1941 in Aledo. He died September 26, 1970.
Ella was a homemaker and assisted her husband farming in the New Boston area.
She was a member of the Eliza Community Church and the Eliza Ladies Aid.
She enjoyed growing flowers, card clubs, her many friends and her family.
She is survived by 3 sons; Wallace (Mary Ann) Green of Ottumwa, IA; Forrest (Hazel) Green of New Boston, Gary (Jackie) Green of Clearfield, IA, one daughter-in-law: Jeanne Green of Aledo; 11 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children: Kenneth and Sharon; 2 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 3 sisters and 1 brother.
