Donna A. Hoyle 73 of Altona, IL died Thursday, March 15, 2018 at home. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 AM Monday March 19, 2018 at St. John's Catholic Church in Woodhull. Burial is in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is 2:00 -6:00 p.m Sunday at the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull where a Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM. She was born November 1, 1944 in DuQuoin, IL to Thomas and Mildred Rice Pugh. She graduated from ROVA High School in 1962. She attended the Monmouth School of Cosmetology.
On June 5, 1965, she married James J. Hoyle in Monmouth, Illinois.
Donna was a homemaker and was employed as a beautician at Lady Fair in Monmouth and O.T. Johnsons and Hair Happening both in Galesburg. She was also employed as a baker at various businesses in Woodhull: The Plaza, The Homestead and was co-owner of Country Café.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and she loved to dance, sing, crochet and knit.
Survivors include her husband: James; 4 daughters, Hollie and Dawna Hoyle both of Denver, CO, Kathleen Montgomery of Aurora, CO, Constance (Bill) Robinson of Altona, IL. 1 son James Hoyle,Jr. of Altona, IL, 12 grandchildren, 4 sisters, Bonnie Mowery of Roseville, IL, Christine (Dan) Brunswig and Marie (Mike) Pacheco both of Altona, IL and Cynthia Pugh Cantrell of Galesburg, 1 brother, Thomas (Debra) Pugh of Alexis, IL and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents 1 daughter, Stephonie A. Hoyle and a granddaughter, Olivia M. Gomez.
