Connie L. McDaniel, 66, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Woodhull, IL, died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at home. Services are 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Galesburg. Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Tuesday at Peterson-Wallin-Knox in Woodhull where a memorial fund will be established. Online condolences can be made at www.petersonwallinknox.com.
Connie was born September 28, 1946 in Galesburg, Illinois to James and Della Wiley Ingram. She attended AlWood Schools. She married Dan Eidet in 1966. She then married John Handley in 1971 and he died in 1977. She later married Jerry McDaniel.
After attending AlWood Schools, she was employed at Admiral in Galesburg. She was a homemaker and enjoyed all kinds of puzzles, crafts, cats, Golden Oldies and was an avid fan of Thomas Kinkade.
Connie is survived by five sons: Dean (Rae) Eidet of Alpha, IL; Dennis (Muree) Handley of Kearney, MO; John (Ann Marie) Handley of Huntingdon, TN; Ben (Stacie) Handley of Independence, MO; Troy Handley of Rock Island, IL; 21 grandchildren; one sister: Nancy (Dale) Reed of Galesburg, IL; and four nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren: Joseph and Abbey; and one brother.
