Christopher J. Ralston

Christopher J. Ralston, 64 of New Windsor, Illinois passed away December 13, 2022 at UnityPoint Health in Rock Island.  Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2022 at Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Alpha.   Private graveside services will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be left to New Windsor Cemetery Maintenance and Improvements Fund or the New Windsor Fire Department.  Online condolences can be made at www.petersonwallinknox.com.

He was born July 13, 1958 in Moline, Illinois to John and Mary Caulkins Ralston.  Chris graduated from AlWood High School in 1977.  He married Gayla Bird April 6, 1996 in Moline, IL.

Chris was a maintenance mechanic at Kraft Heinz Oscar Mayer in Davenport, Iowa for 26 years.

Chris loved his Kubota tractors and tinkering with many things.

He is survived by his wife, Gayla; one daughter, Lori (Jason) Bull of Moline, IL; stepchildren, Melissa Lawson (Bill Steffey) of New Windsor, IL; Liberty Wright of Galesburg, IL; Larry (Hilary) Cloos of Londonderry, New Hampshire; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; one sister,  Beth (Ken) Depew of Alpha, IL; Clint (Cindy) Ralston of Galva, IL; several nieces and nephews; special friend “Tig” the cat.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
