Christopher D. Crandall, 34, of Sherman, Texas, formerly of New Windsor, IL died Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at his home. Services are 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at the United Church of Woodhull. Burial is in the Viola Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established and online condolences can be made at www.petersonwallinknox.com.

He was born August 3, 1983 in Fulton, Missouri to Rodger and Amanda Eversole Crandall. Chris attended the Sherrard schools. He married Danelle Miller September 15, 2006 in Rock Island, IL. He later married Caitlin Diffenbaugh July 5, 2014 at his parents’ home in Lynn Center, IL.

Chris was employed with his dad at his floor covering business, Vern’s Floor Covering in Lynn Center. He began his own business, Dunn Right Flooring Inc. in New Windsor, moving to Sherman, TX in June 2016, where he was working until his death. He specialized in hardwood floors and ceramics.

He enjoyed NASCAR, collecting memorabilia and raced go-carts as a kid. Chris had a very creative and artistic imagination. He loved using his hands to bring his vision to a reality. Chris loved spending time with his children and family.

Survivors include his wife, Caitlin; children: Madison, Morgan Crandall and Matthew Hines, all of Viola, IL; Sommer and Owen Crandall of Sherman, TX; parents: Vern and Amanda Baker of Lynn Center, IL; two sisters: Susan (Mark) Shook of Smith Center, KS; Jenna (Preston Jensen) Baker of Gerlaw, IL; two brothers: Joshua (Laura) Crandall of Lewistown, Missouri; David Baker of Maywood, Missouri; Caitlin’s family, including: Dean and Rae Eidet and Paul Diffenbaugh, all of Woodhull, IL; godson: Lane Williams of New Windsor, IL; several nieces and nephews.

His grandparents, one aunt, one uncle and a nephew preceded him in death.
