Betty Lou Raisbeck, 87 of East Moline, formerly of Geneseo and Woodhull, IL died Thursday July 5, 2018 at Clarissa Cook Hospice in Bettendorf, Iowa. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 AM Monday, July 9, 2018 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Woodhull, IL. Burial is in the Woodhull Cemetery. Visitation is from 3-5 PM Sunday at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull where a Rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Memorials may be left to Special Olympics Alaska, Mat-Su or St. John’s Catholic Church. She was born August 5, 1930 in Edford Township, Illinois to Vernon and Viola Redmann Stenzel. Betty Lou graduated from Geneseo High School in 1948. She was united in marriage October 1, 1955 to Leo R. Raisbeck in Galva, IL. He died September 12, 2007.
Betty Lou was a homemaker.
She was a member of the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in East Moline and the American Legion Auxiliary Post #1197.
Betty Lou enjoyed reading, traveling, embroidering and being with her family.
She is survived by three daughters: LuAnn (Richard) Yanusz of Palmer, Alaska; Marta (Ed) Unclebach of Gardiner, Montana; Alise Raisbeck of Hampton, IL; two grandchildren: Eric and Elana Yanusz of Palmer, Alaska; two sisters: Phyllis Werkheiser of Galva, IL; Norma (Dr. Robert) Daniels of Geneseo, IL; several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and husband Leo preceded her in death.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Park Vista and Clarissa Cook Hospice.
