Bernice R. Anderson

Bernice R. Anderson, 95, of Geneseo, formerly of Woodhull, IL, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Hillcrest Home in rural Geneseo.  Cremation has been accorded and private services will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be left to Tri-County Ambulance.  Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull is in charge of arrangements.

She was born March 26, 1927 in rural Woodhull, Illinois to Oscar and Violet Nero Olson.  Bernice graduated from Cambridge High School and married Wayne E. Anderson October 13, 1963 in Woodhull.  He passed away August 5, 1994.  

Bernice owned and operated Wayne and Bea’s Pub in Woodhull for 25 years.

She enjoyed cooking, crafts, quilting and especially being with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter, Rosemarie Stiles of Orion, IL; two sons, Donald (Sally) Charlson of Woodhull;  Thomas (Marsha) Anderson of Hampshire, IL; 15 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne; one daughter, Mary Lou Diericks; one granddaughter, Rhonda Mara; step-father, Willis Stewart; two sisters and two brothers.
