Beatrice M. “Bea” Leng, 87 of Aledo, IL, formerly of Woodhull died Friday, July 2, 2021 at Genesis Medical Center in Aledo.  Private graveside services are Wednesday, July 7, 2021 in the Woodhull Cemetery.   There is no visitation.  Memorials may be left to the United Church of Woodhull.  Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull is in charge of arrangements and online condolences can be made at www.petersonwallinknox.com

She was born April 28, 1934 at the home of her great uncle, Emery Chilberg in Bishop Hill, IL to Miles and Leola Chilberg Henderson.  Bea grew up in Woodhull and married William L. Leng November 5, 1955 in Aledo.  He died November 9, 1989. They raised their children in Aledo, Monmouth and Woodhull.

Bea was a homemaker and worked at a card store in Monmouth and also a department store in Monmouth.  She cleaned houses and did home healthcare, living and caring for people especially after her husband Bill passed away.  She moved to Brookstone in 2018.

She was a member of the United Church of Woodhull and she loved connecting with people and never knew a stranger.

Bea is survived by six children:  four sons, William Leng of Fairborn, Ohio; Tom (Kathy) Seymour of Washington, IL; Monte Leng of Bloomington, IL; Matt Leng of Havana, IL; two daughters, Brenda (Doug) Grassle of Davenport, Iowa, Annette (Todd) McKey of Henry, IL; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband and sisters, Anne Lefevre and Sandra Erlandson preceded her in death.
