Anna Rose Rednour, 90, of Rio, Illinois, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Rio Presbyterian Church. Burial is in the Rio Baptist Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 PM Friday at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Alpha. Memorials may be left to Rio Baptist Cemetery or the Rio Presbyterian Church. She was born June 11, 1924 in North Henderson, Illinois to Herman and Martha Munson Devlin. She attended the Rio schools and graduated from Alpha High School. Anna Rose married Elmer R. Rednour April 8, 1944 in Henderson, Illinois. He died January 18, 2010.
Anna Rose was a homemaker and was previously employed as a Rio telephone operator for several years. She was a cook at the Rio grade school, the Woodhull Plaza, and at her Uncle Butch's Restaurant in Rio.
She was a member of Rio Presbyterian Church and the Service Guild.
Anna Rose enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for her taffy apples, divinity and fudge.
Survivors include three daughters, Melodee (Gene) Gibson of Dahinda, IL; Sherri (Curtis) Pitman of Rio; Penny (Gary) Peterson of Oneida; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; one sister, Della Jean (Jack) Foster of Oneida; two brothers, Cletus (Joyce) Devlin of New Windsor; Darrel (Martha) Devlin of Galesburg; sister-in-law, Bessie Devlin of Galesburg; brother-in-law, Roy (Sally) Rednour of Galesburg; several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, an infant daughter, four sisters, three brothers preceded her in death.
