Fippinger Funeral Home partners with Knapp -Johnson-Harris Funeral Homes
Scott and Ann Fippinger, owners of the Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo and the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Homes in Alpha and Woodhull, have reached an agreement to partner with Steve Knapp, Mark Johnson and Todd Harris establishing a firm succession plan and continuation of both Fippinger Funeral Home and Peterson Wallin Knox.
“This just makes good sense” said Scott. “Our children are not interested in taking over the family business. I have been operating everything pretty much by myself with the help of our wonderful staff. We have been looking for a key licensed employee for quite some time. This is a perfect match for us.”
“We’re not going anywhere”, said Scott, “we still have a long way to go before retiring. We will be serving families for a long time. After 37 years of being licensed as a funeral director and pretty much doing it by myself, you begin to think about what would happen if my health failed or something drastic happened, we’d be in trouble. Knapp Johnson and Harris have provided us with a key employee, Alex Carlson, who can begin getting to know people in Aledo, Alpha and Woodhull. We are so grateful and excited to see our hard work continue. “
The Fippinger family is only the 2nd family to own the Aledo funeral home in over 160 years and only the 2nd family to own the Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Homes in almost 100 years.
