Scott FippingerScott D. Fippinger, Funeral Director

Scott graduated from Aledo High School in 1978, attended Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and graduated from University of Minnesota where he received his B.S. in mortuary science. He worked at the Phalan Park Funeral Home in St. Paul, Minnesota before returning home to join his father in the family business on June 1st, 1982.

In addition to working for the family funeral home, Scott was employed at the Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Homes in Alpha and Woodhull, Illinois, which he purchased in October 2002. Scott and his wife, Ann, reside in Aledo and have three children, Nathan, Benjamin, and Elise. He is currently the Vice-President and Treasurer of Fippinger Funeral Home, Inc., and is responsible for the day to day operations of both the Fippinger Funeral Home and Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Homes. Having been very active for over 15 years in community organizations and events, he is currently a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Aledo Kiwanis Club, and serves as Director for the Mercer County Housing Authority. He remains committed to raising his three children and providing excellent funeral service to his clientele.

Lori Wilson

Lori Wilson, Office Manager

Lori has been with Peterson-Wallin-Knox since October 2002. She grew up in Davenport graduated from high school and the American Institute of Commerce. She lived in Columbia, Missouri for several years where she was employed at the MFA Oil Company Corporate Office. Lori has three children; Megan, Sarah and Daniel and one grandchild, Andrew. She enjoys her grandson, reading, music, baking and is a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan.

John EngstromJohn Engstrom – John has been associated with Peterson-Wallin-Knox for almost 20 years. After retiring from the farm, John became employed in many different capacities at the funeral home. John has since retired to sitting visitations where he greets people and talks to them as they arrive at the funeral home to pay respects. He is married to Polly and they have two daughters and a son. He is a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Opheim, Illinois.

Gary Johnson – Gary joined the staff at Peterson-Wallin-Knox an an usher in October of 2002. Having been raised in Woodhull, Gary is now retired from the Moline Dispatch where he was a printer. He enjoys exercising, especially golfing, and walking and is currently the Clover Township Clerk. Gary is a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church in Woodhull and serves as a trustee for the Woodhull Cemetery Association. He has three children and 8 grandchildren.

Ed Nesbitt – Ed became employed at Peterson-Wallin-Knox in October of 2002. Enjoying retirement as an independent truck driver, he also drove for Preston Trucking Company and Dohrn Transfer. He is a member of the Aledo United Methodist Church and the Aledo Masonic Lodge #252 AF & AM. Ed and his wife Marian moved from Alpha, Illinois to the family farm in Aledo after retirement and he works part-time for Wal Mart in Aledo. He enjoys his children and grandchildren.
