Fippinger Funeral Home is a full service funeral home that specializes in traditional funeral service at affordable prices. Knowing that not all people have the same means and having been through difficult times ourselves, Fippingers have a unique empathy to not only provide excellent products and services to those who wish to have the best, but we are ever mindful of those with little that still desire a traditional funeral service and burial. Cremation selection at Fippingers is an option for those desiring Cremation, however, we strongly urge families to consider visitations and funerals with the body present prior to the cremation process. Statistics and our experience indicate that visitations and funerals with the body present have tremendous psychological benefit for hurting people. "Sorrow Shared is Sorrow Diminished" Services – The Fippinger Funeral Home service charge has mirrored the national averages for the past several years. Our service charge ranges from $2,300 to $5,000 depending on the specific services you desire. Caskets – The Fippinger Funeral Home utilizes three casket companies:
Our casket prices range in price from $795 to $15,000. Vaults – The Fippinger Funeral Home utilizes the Wilbert Vault Company in Milan, Illinois as its principal vault supplier. Our price range for vaults is from $840 to $9,240 including service charges. Urns and Urn Vaults – Again, Fippingers utilizes the Wilbert Vault Company in Milan as its principal supplier of cremation urns and urn vaults. Price ranges for urns are from $250 to $2,000 and urn vaults are from $285 to $537. Monuments – Scott Fippinger has been a dealer for the Winona Monument Company and its parent Monumental Sales Inc, in St Cloud Minnesota since 1987. Monuments range in price from $500 to $10,000 with an average being $2500. Cash Advances or Outside Charges – Fippinger Funeral Home is one of the few funeral homes that still advances money for people without requiring a down payment. These cash advances include gratuities, flowers, musicians, hairdressers, death certificates and in some instances cemeteries. Pre-Arrangements and Prepayments – The Fippinger Funeral Home is currently licensed and bonded to accept pre-paid burial money. We utilize the Master Trust Program at the Illinois Funeral Directors Association in Springfield, Illinois having done so for over 20 years. Pre-paying a loved one's funeral expenses can be one of the most thoughtful gestures a family member can make and Fippingers has chosen the safest most effective mode of payment available. Payment Terms and Conditions – Fippinger Funeral Home requires payment in full thirty days after receipt of our final statement. Our final statement is mailed to you ten days after the funeral service. This allows most families over forty days to collect life insurance, open estates, etc. In September 2003, in an effort to accommodate more people, Fippingers now accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover for payment of services and merchandise. A one percent service charge is assessed on accounts that are thirty days past due and accounts that are over six months due are turned over for collection. |
